Step-by-Step Process via mAadhaar App

  1. First open Play Store on your phone, or Apple App Store if you use an iPhone.
  2. Download the app named “Aadhaar.” Look for the official UIDAI app with the Aadhaar logo.
  3. After download, tap on “I am ready with my Aadhaar.” Ensure you have your Aadhaar number handy.
  4. Click Next and enter your Aadhaar number (Make sure to enter the Aadhaar number in which you want to update/link the mobile number.)
  5. Click Next to proceed to verification.
  6. Select the SIM card from your phone. The number you want linked with your Aadhaar must be in the phone.
  7. Select the SIM card you want to update. If you have dual SIM, choose the correct one.
  8. An OTP will be sent to that number for verification. Enter the OTP when prompted.
  9. Click “Continue with this mobile number” after successful OTP verification.
  10. Face verification will be done through the phone camera. Ensure good lighting.
  11. Blink once during video recording as instructed on screen.
  12. Don’t wear glasses or a cap during face verification for better accuracy.
  13. Green signal means verification completed. Wait for the confirmation message.
  14. Click Next and generate a 6-digit PIN. This PIN will be used for future logins.
