Overview Of The Scheme
Name of Scheme	Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme.
Launched On	1st April 2015
Benefits	1,000 rupees per month credited into the bank account up to the age of 14 years. After attaining the age of 21 years, the girl child will get an approximate amount of 6.50 lakh rupees.
Beneficiaries	All Girl Child Born On Or After 01-04-2015.

Introduction

• Ladli Beti Scheme is a  unique social assistance scheme which is sponsored by the  Government of Jammu & Kashmir especially for new born girl child.
• The objective of Ladli Beti Scheme is to stop criminal act of  feticide and  encourage people of Jammu and Kashmir to make their daughter child study.
• The scheme aims to ensure that the girl child does not become a burden for the parent/ guardian and get a good amount at the time of her marriage.
•  The nodal department of this scheme is  Department of Social Welfare of Jammu and Kashmir Government.
• All  those  girl children who are born on or after 01-04-2015 in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are eligible to apply for Ladli Beti Scheme.
• Ladli Beti Scheme is based on two phases :-
  • Phase I: A recurring deposit of  Rs1000/= for 14 .
  • Phase II: A Cumulative Term Deposit (CCR) for 7 years.
• After Phase I (recurring deposit account) the account will shift to Phase II (Cumulative Term Deposit account).
• The monthly contribution of Rs. 1000/- in Phase-I is made by the J&K Govt.
• The maximum maturity period of J&K Ladli Beti Scheme is 21 years.
• After that, Beneficiary has to apply to Claim the Amount of Ladli Beti Scheme of Jammu and Kashmir Government.
• Important to note that only those whose annual family income is not more than Rs. 75,000/-. are eligible to apply for Ladli Beti .
• The beneficiaries will get Rs 1,000 each month credited into the bank account through DBT Mode of the Girl Child up to the age of 14 years.
• After attaining the age of 21 years, the girl child will get an amount approximately of 6.50 lakh rupees.
• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme through Online Application Form.
• Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme Online Application Form is available on Jansugam Portal.

Benefits

• Following are the benefits for a girl child under Ladli Beti Scheme –
  • Recurring Deposit of Rs. 1,000/- per month by J&K Government till the girl attained the age of 14 years.
  • After that second phase of  Cumulative Term Deposit by J&K Government till the girl attained the age of 21 years.
  • After the girl child attains age of 21 years, the girl child will get an approximate amount of 6.50 lakh rupees.
  • The Financial Assistance will be directly transferred into the bank account.

Eligibility

• Who is eligible  for the benefit of Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme :-
  • Girl Child and her family must be a Residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • The Birth of a Girl Child should be on or after 01-04-2015.
  • Annual Income of the Parents of a Girl Child should be less than Rs. 75,000/-.

Documents Required

• Documents that are required to be uploaded at the time of applying for Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme are as follows :-
  • Domicile Certificate of the Parent/Guardian.
  • Birth Certificate of the Girl Child.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Aadhaar Number of the Girl Child.
  • Aadhaar Number of the Parent/Guardian.
  • Identity Proof of the Parents/ Legal Guardians of the girl child.
  • Duly filled and signed Application Form.
  • KYC Norms of Parent/ Guardian.
  • Sanction letter from Child Development Project Officer.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • Income Certificate of the Parent/Guardian.

• Before Applying For Ladli Beti Scheme , Parent Who is applying For the scheme  has to register himself/herself on  https://www.jk.gov.in/jkeservices/home

• Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme by applying through Online Application Form.

If You have done registration already then fill up first two fields of login and Password. And if you are first time on this portal then click on Last Option of ” New Citizen Registration”. And you will be taken on the registration form:

• Fill Up All The Fields Carefully . Enter Your Own Mobile No. And E-mail.
• Dont Use any Friends or relatives Because In future whenver you have to login or apply foe new schemes or check the status of your Applied Scheme, you will be asked for an OTP which will be sent only on the mobile number ehich you have entered at the time of Registration.
• It is compulsory for your safety and to avoid misuse of your account by any other person.
• Keep ready a colour photograph on your phone of the size of upto 50 kb in jpg or jpeg format.
• After you have filled all the fields , click on preview and submit.
• After submission , a window will appear on your screen with your unique Regisration No. Login ID and a password.
• Dont click anywhere before taking a screen short or recording all these information on a paper
• Now again visit on the same E-Service portal  Online Application Form. and now click on login. You will reach here.

Enter the OTP , you recieved on Your registered mobile No. and click on verify. Now you will see the below page.

Now click on E-Services option on the left side and you will be taken on the below page.

Click on Social Welfare option on the left side. You will see the next page as below.

on clicking Social Welfare in the previous step, you will see a dropdown menu and you will find “Ladli Beti Scheme”. Click over it. You will raech on the final Registration Page.Fill up all the Fields carefully and upload the required Documents and Submit and dont forget to keep a Prinout with you for future reference.

Keep ready the above documents ready before applying and upload them here and click on final submission.Success.

• Ladli Beti Scheme Application Form will be forwarded then to Child Development Project Office for verification.
• Decision on Final Approval of Ladli Beti Scheme Application Form will be taken by Deputry Commissioner.
• Then the Application Form will be forwarded for disbursement to Director (Finance), Social Welfare Department.
• Beneficiary can also Check the Application Status of Jammu and Kashmir Ladli Beti Scheme .

Apllication Form | Post Application Stages.

• Features of Scheme
• Application form will be forwarded within 15 days to District Project Officer for approval.                         OR
• The Child Development Project Office can reject/ revert the application (in case of deficiency or any other legitimate reason) after duly recording the reasons for the same . forward the application within 15 days to District Project Officer for approval.
• The District Project Officer shall reject or revert the application form  after duly recording reasons (in case of deficiency) or forward the application form within 10 days to Deputy Commissioner for sanction.
• The Deputy Commissioner shall reject/ revert after duly recording reasons (in case of deficiency) or sanction the application within 10 days and forward it to the Director (Finance) / FA & CAO, Social Welfare Department for disbursement of the financial assistance of Ladli Beti Scheme.
